"I am a Beginner!": Level 1 Wheel Throwing Class
There is something magical about creating pieces that you can use in your everyday life using clay, your hands, the speed of a wheel and the heat of fire. You will learn how to turn a seemingly shapeless lump into a teacup, a beautiful bowl or a plate; pottery is where beauty can also be practical.
During this course, we will start from the basics and guide you through wedging, centering, throwing, trimming and glazing. We will fail and we will continue practicing. After this course, you will have 3 pieces of tableware to take home, that you can’t buy anywhere else. Class size is capped at 6 people, so you can get the most out of your time with us. Bring a friend, discover a new hobby and get curious.
All clay, tools and materials you will need are included. Your pieces will be fired and ready for collection in 1-2 months time.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and Refund Policy
A request of cancellation has to be made at least 2 weeks prior the class, you must send an email to us with a reason. Refunds requested within 14 business days of the first class are 50% refundable. There will be no refunds within the 14 day period prior to class. Should a class not fill sufficiently, we may cancel it one week prior to the first class session.
If student want to reschedule a class, please email us 48 hours before the class.
If a student wants to reschedule a class, please email us 48 hours before the class. Reschedules are subject to a $30 admin fee, private make up classes are subject to an $85 fee, per person. The make-up class is subject to additional fee. We recommend that you double check your schedule before booking the class.
If classes are cancelled or interrupted by a Public Health Order, refunds will not be available. We will rearrange the class within a reasonable time frame.
Student pots will be kept at the studio for only 6 months after the end date of the class, no later. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Touci Ceramic Studio if they are unable to pick up their pieces on the dates provided by their instructor, no exceptions.
